Today I learned about the different walking speed between people who live in cities and people who don't.
This is a real interesting study (though it might be a bit old) on the psychology of walking speeds. I find that when I go to larger cities (pop > 1M) the overall stress associated with transportation is a lot higher than in my home town (pop appr. 150k). This is (of course) my own subjective observation but big city living seems to lead to stress that seems to manifest in situations like commuting etc. Read the original article.
